Mistakes are great, because they are learning opportunities to improve your business. Mistakes made by other people are better, becasue you can learn from agents that have already been there. This email might be longer than my other ones, but I assure you that it is worth the read.
1. Not Linking Correctly
Do a quick sweep through your website and make sure all the links go somewhere. If you linked to a local newspaper that changed their web address recently, make sure that is updated. Additionally, you want to link to other pages within your site. If your bio says "I assist buyers and sellers", add a link to the buyers and sellers page. Links
2. Not Being Local
While TorchX can provide you with the basis of a good SEO-friendly website, there are still actions you can do to supercharge it. You can start by adding custom pages dedicated to your local area - neighborhoods, businesses, things to do, etc. Adding a few blog articles with local lists couldn't hurt either - for example, 5 Things to Do In CITY This Summer or 5 Mistakes Homebuyers in CITY Make.
3. Not Building on a Brand
Building your brand is great for word of mouth and name recongition. Not only that, but it also helps provide consistency for your online presence. Being "John Jones the Dallas Real Estate Agent" on your website, Instagram, and Facebook can really help elevate your position in the search engines.
4. Not Focusing on Reviews
When doing research, many prospects will take the recommendation of a person they know - but will still research you. Having reviews on other sites like Facebook, Yelp, Zillow, Realtor.com, and others is an additional way to generate more traffic to your site. Even posting a video review on YouTube with your site's web address in the description can help your online reputation.
Search Engine Optimization can be a tricky skill to conquer - which can be very time consuming. You have help here at TorchX though. Request a free demo below, and we'll show you how we will get your real estate business found online.
